Hero For Zero Camp

​For advanced backcountry riders looking to increase their skill set while decreasing their climate impact. Four consecutive day trips close to home in world class terrain.

  • Learn when, why, and how to incorporate a rope
  • Lead various parts of the tour with feedback
  • Sleep and eat at home rather than travel

Prerequisites:
  • AIARE 1, often guests have also taken AIARE 2
  • 3+ seasons and/or >25 days of touring
  • Able to competently descend 35-40 degree slopes (double diamond in resorts) in most conditions
  • Open to receiving and sharing feedback​

Format:
Virtual intro meeting evening of Feb 25 
Day tours Feb 27-March 2 on/near Snoqualmie Pass
  • 7:30am meetup on pass for morning planning session
  • 8:00-3:30pm tour with coaching throughout
  • 3:30pm debrief the day
  • 4pm head home 
Times may change based on conditions or desires of group. For example, we may have a longer field day if conditions are great and/or a longer indoor planning session if conditions are not so great.
