Alaska Range Base Camp

​For adventurous backcountry riders looking to ride remote lines from a base camp on a large glacier. In partnership with IFMGA guide Aaron Richards, we are running this week long expedition in the heart of amazing ski terrain.

Max of 6 guests with 2 guides
Itinerary:
  • April 19: Meet in Anchorage & shuttle to Talkeetna
  • April 20: Fly to glacier, set up camp, review glacier skills
  • April 21-25: Morning planning meeting over breakfast, ski tour, dinner back at base camp
  • April 26: Pack up camp after breakfast, fly to Talkeetna, shuttle back to Anchorage

Weather and flying conditions are out of our control and may change the itinerary, including flying out day(s) later.

Prerequisites:
  • Have skied with us before or send backcountry resume
  • Previous glacier travel preferred but not required
  • Winter camping experience preferred but not required ​​​


Included:​
  • Guiding & logistics
  • Round trip ground transportation between Anchorage & Talkeetna
  • One night lodging in Talkeetna (shared among two people)
  • Round trip flight between Talkeetna & glacier camp
  • All food while on the glacier
  • Group gear (ropes, emergency communications, kitchen tent with stoves & fuel)
  • 4-season tents to sleep in (shared among two people)

  • Flights to/from Anchorage
  • Lodging pre/post trip
  • Food when not on the glacier
  • Personal equipment (per our equipment list)
  • Denali National Park entrance fee ($15) paid to national park
  • Travel/rescue insurance (recommended)
  • Costs with unplanned departures out of our control (weather/conditions/flights/etc.)
